Achachairu is a slow-growing, Florida-friendly tree that can reach a height of 20’ to 50’. Achachairu grows best in full sun to partial shade, with average to moist, nutrient rich soil. Can tolerate some drought and flooding, but is not wind resistant. The new growth emerges copper and then matures to a dark green, and the small, orange fruit is edible for both birds and humans!
